ICC U-19 World Cup:  India beat New Zealand by 7 wickets

ICC U-19 World Cup:  : Mushir Khan scored a century as India registered their first win in the Super Six stage of the ICC U-19 World Cup. Musheer Khan’s successful century helped India beat New Zealand in the Under-19 World Cup. Batting first, India scored 295 runs. Chasing India’s target of 296, New Zealand were bowled out for just 81 and won by 214 runs. As a result, India have been able to start the Super 6 round of this Youth World Cup with a win. With this win, the Indian team has taken a concrete step towards the semi-finals.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat for India. Arshin was dismissed in the over for 9 runs. Then Musheer Khan came in to bat and changed the face of the match. Musheer started batting strong from the start. This time, Musheer got good support from opener Adarsh Singh. This time Adarsh Singh scored 52 runs with the help of 6 fours. Despite Adarsh’s dismissal, Mushir continued to play. Musheer scored an impressive 131 off 126 balls with the help of 13 fours and three sixes. It was on the basis of Musheer’s innings that the Indian team could score 295 runs this time.
